We did not want to leave Sligo this morning. The room was so comfy. Staff was so nice. The view, perfect. We had a bite to eat at the hotel before hitting the road.
Matt didn’t sleep too well last night so the drive was a bit of a struggle for him. We made sure to grab some coffee for him but even then I had to provide some entertainment to keep him going. We crossed the border into Northern Ireland on this trip. I was expecting more of noticeable transition but it happened kind of sudden and before we knew it, all the km/h became mph.

I made the mistake of telling Matt about the unionist vs nationalist turmoil in Northern Ireland, and now he has too many questions. I felt like at any moment, he would ask a local an inappropriate question that would get us beat up. We have a black taxi tour scheduled in a couple days so he’s been instructed to save all his questions for that tour.
We made it to Belfast around 3:30 pm and dropped our bags off at the hotel before attempting to see Titanic Belfast. I say attempting because our Uber got there at 4:10 and they were no longer allowing anyone into the exhibit. Better luck tomorrow I suppose! When I tried to get another Uber back to a restaurant close to the hotel, the app quoted me £28 which seemed a little high. Luckily, there’s a cab service that works directly with the facility and they got us across town for only £8. Much better.

Dinner was at Darcy’s. Matt had a grilled sea bass and I had lamb shank. Matt also stumbled upon a bramble cocktail that he ended up “trying” a couple more times. For dessert, chocolate brownies. Their brownies are a lot fluffier than ours and more like a cake. We were both very satisfied as we walked back to our room. This room is a little cozier than than our Sligo room but still comfy womfy. Matt didn’t stop talking for a very long time after getting back. I think the brambles had something to do with it.
