Yesterday was a bit of a blur. In the morning we asked for a late check out and used the time to rest up. Before leaving Killarney we had some lunch and checked out some Aran Sweater shops. Then we hopped on the road towards Bunratty, where we attended a medieval banquet. The show was awesome and very funny. My least favorite part was the castle stairs we had to climb; but I suppose I’m not a fan of stairs in general.

This morning we headed out early for Doolin. The weather was less than ideal. Cold and rainy. We took a ferry out to Innis Oirr, which is a small island to west of Ireland. It houses 300 people and has had people living on it since at least the 12th century. We took a tractor ride around the island. Others from our ferry rode bikes but the weather kept turning. The ferry ride over was very rough and made several people sick. I tried to make myself fall asleep so I wouldn’t feel it. It worked out ok. We were on the island for a few hours and just before getting back on the ferry, it started pouring. Everyone rushed to the inside of the ship out of the rain. We grabbed a table and immediately after we sat down, another interracial couple ended up sitting across from us. The four of us ended up passing out for almost the entire boat ride. Which is good for me as I get really motion sick usually.

Once back on the mainland, we visited the Cliffs of Mohr. The weather was sunny on the way up but once we made it up, Hurricane Force winds insisted on blowing us back down. The wind was so strong it was closing my nostrils. I told Matt I thought I was going to die. We scurried down the hill while being beaten with wind, rain, and snow, on our backs. Once back in the visitor center we attempted to get dry but could only wait out the storm in our wet clothes. When the rain stopped we rushed back to the car and headed down the hill to our BNB where we finally got into warm dry clothes.
